All Tesla ECUs are tied to a specific car via the high-speed data bus. Installing any module — new or used — without the pairing procedure ends the same way: the onboard system doesn't recognize it, multiple errors appear, functions get restricted, and with critical modules the car doesn't drive at all (tsk.by breakdown).
