Description

In winter — a typical bouquet of problems: frozen door handles, frozen charge port, temperature sensor failure, broken charge port latch, suspension creak, fog light condensation. The first winter on a Tesla is a stress test for the owner.

Solution

  1. Handles — silicone treatment before frosts, run a card along the gap.
  2. Temperature sensor from a Hyundai Elantra 18-22 fits 1:1 and costs significantly less than the original.
  3. If sensors fail often — check the wiring and harness connector, the issue may be in the contact.
  4. Charge port latch — replacement by part number.
  5. Battery preconditioning before charging — set navigation to the charger and preconditioning starts automatically.
