Autopilot and camera calibration after repair
Traffic light recognition needs HW 3.0+. After body repair, camera calibration via Service Mode is mandatory.
Description
For correct traffic light recognition you need HW 3.0+ and European maps. After body repair or glass replacement, camera calibration is required. Without calibration Autopilot won't work correctly.
Solution
- For traffic lights — HW 3.0 minimum + European maps.
- Camera calibration after repair — via Tesla Service Mode.
- Software alone won't cut it — you need access to Tesla Toolbox and an understanding of the process.
- If a shop doesn't run calibration after suspension/body repair — better not to accept the car.
